Cheer Map is your interactive local guide to share and discover the best holiday decorations near you
Nextdoor has introduced a new way to shine brighter this holiday season with the launch of Cheer Map, an interactive map that lets your neighbours know if you will be decorating for the holiday season.
In my neighbourhood, our family noticed people with Christmas decorations up earlier than ever before! The lights and displays seem to be bigger and better than ever, as we look to spread the joy of the season.
You can mark your house on the Cheer Map by going to settings in your Nextdoor app or categories on Nextdoor.ca, then tap Cheer Map and “I’m decorating.” The map will then show a ‘Lights and displays’ icon over your home on the neighbourhood map.
You can also use the Holiday Cheer Map to see which houses in your neighbourhood have holiday displays and turn to the Cheer Map to see which nearby neighborhoods have the most holiday spirit.
With so many people staying local this year, it is more important now than ever to bring a little extra cheer to the neighbourhood. No matter which holiday you celebrate, get in the spirit by marking your home on the Cheer Map, then explore the map to see which houses will have holiday displays for a safe, contact-free sightseeing festivity.
